Not only meeting the esthetic expectations of the patient but also a long term structural, functionaland biological success is very important for both your dentist and technician. Making teeth that will look natural is not only about the color. They are made taking the color tone, saturation, brightness and translucence into consideration
A Prosthodontist is responsible for executing those treatments, as well as co-ordinating treatment that may be required by other specialists. Several years of specialist training and recognition by the General Dental Council as a Specialist in Prosthodontics places the individual in the optimal position to manage the more challenging cases such as those with significant functional or aesthetic problems. Patients contemplating dental treatment which may require the use of dental implants, the extensive use of veneers as part of a smile ‘makeover’, and treatment that involves major changes of the dentition are strongly encouraged to seek the advice of a Prosthodontist in order to obtain the most appropriate, comprehensive and individually tailored solution to their dental needs.
Natural Look in Dental Esthetics
Pale and opaque look of the teeth make patients think translucence of the teeth is insufficient. The dentist pays attention to several parameters. Cutting edge of the teeth and their structures are also very important.
E-MAX Laminate Veneers
Emax dental is a dental veneer method in new generation aesthetic dentistry. It is generally applied for the treatment of anterior teeth and the purpose of emax dental aesthetics is to use coatings suitable for the infrastructure of the tooth.
Emax is a dental veneer method to cover the bad images on the teeth. Emax dental veneer prices vary from patient to patient. Emax veneers are among the most frequently used veneers to cover tooth defects that turn yellow over time and occur as a result of various dental traumas. In this treatment method, the type of coating is determined according to the condition of the problems in the teeth.
Emax dental veneer is also a part of smile design aesthetics; It can beautify the structure, color and appearance of the teeth with the most natural methods.
In Which Situations is E-MAX Laminate Veneers Applied?
• Yellowing Teeth:
Long-lasting white teeth can be obtained with E-max tooth coating, which has a transparent structure and is extremely resistant to breakage and bending.
• Crooked and Crooked Teeth:
Especially in terms of anterior teeth, the restoration of teeth can be achieved at the desired level in terms of smile aesthetic design with E-max tooth coating.
• Root Canal Treated Teeth:
Considering the sensitivity of teeth that have been subjected to procedures such as root canal treatment before, E-max treatment can be applied, also in the back teeth, in order to prevent breaks and cracks.
• Broken and Split Teeth
The distance between the teeth and fractures caused by long-term decay or various traumas can also be corrected with E-max.
What is the difference between E-max laminate veneers and Zirconium crowns?
E-max laminate veneers and zirconium crowns differences should be examined in two basic groups. When evaluated in terms of health and aesthetics, the advantages and disadvantages of both coating materials will be clearly seen. Accordingly, the most basic differences between zirconium and e-max veneer:
• Zirconium is stronger and more durable than e-max laminate veneers,
• In terms of permeability and appearance, e-max veneer provides a more aesthetic and natural appearance compared to zirconium,
• Zirconium is a type of coating preferred mostly for health concerns and emax for aesthetic purposes.
• Emax veneer is more suitable for anterior teeth, while zirconium may provide higher benefits for posterior teeth.
Porcelain Laminate Veneers
Laminate porcelains are very thin ceramic materials we especially use on anterior teeth. They are largely used for patients that are not satisfied with the colour of their teeth or have broken, abraded, overlapped teeth, as well as patients with diastema. The most essential property of the application is the preparation of the teeth by abrading approximately 0,5 mm of the surface.
Laminate porcelains are fixed to the teeth with a very special technique called “today’s adhesive techniques”. How come such a thin and fragile porcelain shows such a strong structure? Laminate porcelains shows the same physical characteristics as the tooth enamel after it is fixed on the teeth. Practices such as the abrasion of the teeth, making the measurements, production and application process of the laminates are for the porcelains that are prepared much meticulously. Otherwise, patients may experience negative outcomes.
Laminate Porcelains Are Suitable For…
• Patients with broken or notched anterior teeth, and structural defects
• Patients having colour defects or patients that are not satisfied with their tooth colour
• Patients having stains on their teeth due to tetracycline or excessive use of fluorine
• Patients whose teeth changed colour due to root canal treatment or trauma
• Patients with diastema on anterior teeth
• Patients who have structural defects on the anterior teeth and reject orthodontic treatment
First Appointment
This is the first appointment your dentist analyzes your teeth. First of all, all your jaw and facial structure records, photographs, lower and upper jaw models, your present tooth colour and your panaromic films are taken. Your demands and expectations are evaluated. Temporary laminates are made on your previously measured mock ups, and a general opinion is formed about the final condition of the plate.
First Step Is The Preparation of the Teeth: Cutting the Surface of The Teeth
Anesthesia may be used if necessary. The purpose is to make as little cutting as possible. Depending on the case, your dentist cuts your teeth from 0,5 mm. ile 2.00 mm. We want to produce a laminate surface with the same thickness so cutting is made in accordance with your teeth. Sometimes the natural position of your teeth is so behind the align that there may be no need to make any cuts.
Making Measurements
Measuring laminate porcelains are made by very sensitive impression materials. Then, your mock ups are prepared in the laboratory. In this process, your dentist and the technician consult each other.
Temporary Laminate
After the cutting you will feel the ragged surface on your teeth as well as sharp or cornered areas. Since the level of tooth enamel becomes less on the surface, you may feel your teeth have become sensitive to hot and cold things in some cases. Due to these reasons, temporary laminates are applied on your teeth in this process. These laminates are made of composite material and it takes a little time to make them. They are not very enduring and they may break. Your temporary laminates provide approximate information on how your laminate porcelains will look like.
Fixing laminate porcelains
Before fixing your laminates, we make a try-on to make sure everything goes according to what we planned. Your dentist may sometimes make some changes altough your laminates are in an ideal shape. Real colour of porcelain laminates show up only with the cement that will be fixed. As laminates are very thin and they are not fixed during the try-on process, you cannot see the exact colour. So your dentist will show you the colour tone you initially agreed only after your laminates are fixed. You will see that this colour is the one you agreed on with your dentist. There are water-soluble trial pastes. These can also help you see the final colour. The technique for fixing these laminates are different from fixing other porcelain crowns. In fixing process teeth and laminates are prepared at the same time. They are both washed and dried. In the first phase, surface of your teeth are etched with phosphoric acid. Etching is made on a microscopic level and helps the adhesive stick properly on the teeth. Later, bondings are made. They help the cement be fixed by chemical route. Meanwhile, laminates are treated. They are silaned (a chemical procedure), treated with hydrofluoric acid and porcelain bonding is applied. Application of these chemicals are performed meticulously. Later, the adhesive is positioned to the inner surface of the cemented laminate in a way that it runs over a little. Excess adhesive is cleaned very carefully. A certain wavelenght of light is applied on each surface of the teeth. Your dentist contols your lip closure for the last time and puts finishing touches to end the procedure.
Composite Bonding in Turkey
What is Composite Bonding?
It is the restoring of the teeth that have deformed, broken, lost their color or changed their position with the help of composite materials. Bonding is a form of restoration performed as an alternative to porcelain veneers on teeth that have darkened color, cracks or small fractures, slightly crooked or gaping teeth. The dentist gives the desired aesthetic appearance to the problematic tooth or teeth with the help of composite (aesthetic) filling material.
Advantages:
• It is an aesthetic application.
• Application time is short. It is usually finished in a single appointment.
• It is cheaper than porcelain veneers.
• It is easier to repair or renew.
Disadvantages:
• Since Composite Filler is not as strong as tooth enamel or porcelain, it can easily break or dislodge, especially if it is heavily loaded.
• Depending on the person's oral care and eating habits, deterioration in the structure of the filling material or color change may occur over time.
• May require repair or replacement every 3-5 years.
Esthetic (Tooth Coloured) Fillings
Among composite fillings, they are the tooth coloured filings that contain silicon dioxide particles. Today, they are applied to all tooth surfaces including posterior teeth. Dentists started using them as an alternative to amalgam fillings.
Decays on teeth are removed, bonding is made and later the composites. Today, we have considerably durable composite fillings that do not change colour.
What is the E-max Laminate Veneer treatment process?
Consultation with the specialist doctor before treatment:
Before the laminate veneer is applied, some examinations are made by the specialist dentist. As a result of these examinations, it is decided how laminate coating will be made. Before the laminate veneer, your teeth are rasped almost non-existent. As a result of filing, the dentist prepares your laminate veneers with laboratory support. As a result of the preparation of laminated veneers, they are adhered to your natural teeth.
The bonded laminated tooth coating has a very solid structure. It cannot be removed or broken. At the same time, there is no color change after laminate tooth coating. Factors that change the color of the teeth, such as cigarettes, coffee and tea, do not occur after laminate tooth coating. It does not cause color change and is durable. In this way, it is among the preferences of the people. It pleases you by providing an aesthetic smile.
Preparation stage for lamina veneer:
Laminated coating means leaf coating. It is a veneer method that is applied by thinning the healthy tooth tissue to a point where it can be said to be negligible. Porcelain coating is applied to the surface of the teeth by filing 0.3 – 0.7 mm on the tooth surface.
The person's teeth are measured. The color tones desired by the person are determined. The teeth are filed in the thinnest way, measuring 0.3 – 0.7 mm. Laminate veneer is applied to the teeth whose measurements are taken.
Laminate veneer is applied over your natural teeth. It is as thin as a leaf. In this way, when viewed from the front, it is no different from your own teeth. It adds color to your smiles with its smooth texture and appearance. After the laminate coating application, no color change is observed on the teeth.
Laminate Veneers Frequently Asked Questions
Caps and crowns cover problem teeth by surrounding them in a material that looks like a real tooth. They use the root and inside of the tooth as a base to build on, then attach with special cement. Veneers and bonding improve your smile by sticking a layer of smoother and whiter materials like porcelain or resin to the natural tooth. Talk with your dentist about which fix is right for you.
There are several different options available to change the shape of your teeth. You can choose to make your teeth look longer, close spaces between your teeth or repair a chipped or cracked tooth. Among the options are bonding, crowns, veneers, and re-contouring. Dental bonding is a procedure in which a tooth-colored resin material (a durable plastic material) is applied to the tooth surface and hardened with a special light, which ultimately “bonds” the material to the tooth. Dental crowns are tooth-shaped “caps” that are placed over teeth. The crowns, when cemented into place, fully encase the entire visible portion of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line. Veneers (also called porcelain veneers or dental porcelain laminates) are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials that are designed to cover the front surface of teeth. These shells are bonded to the front of the teeth. Re-contouring or reshaping of the teeth (also called odontoplasty, enameloplasty, stripping, or slenderizing) is a procedure in which small amounts of tooth enamel are removed to change a tooth’s length, shape or surface. Each option differs with regard to cost, durability, and “chair time” necessary to complete the procedure and the best cosmetic approach to resolving your specific problem. We would be glad to discuss which one is right for you.
Because of their exceptional durability and strength, zirconia restorations generally last longer than porcelain. While porcelain crowns usually need replacement after a few years, zirconia crowns have shown a 99 percent survival rate after five years. ... However, zirconia is multicolored and highly translucent
